Birding at Abbotts Lagoon

Mount Diablo Audubon Society Day Trip

Saturday, October 28, 2017

8:30 A.M.

Meet at Bear Valley Visitor Center, Point Reyes National Seashore

We'll carpool to Abbott's Lagoon from the Visitor Center and arrive at Abbott's Lagoon at  around 9:00 A.M.

Explore one of Point Reyes' prime birding locations and walk trough a variety of habitats including costal scrub, fresh water marsh and shoreline. Some of the birds we may encounter during this hike are sparrows (e.g. golden-crowned, white-crowned, Lincoln's), raptors (e.g. northern harrier, falcons) and shorebirds/seabirds (e.g. dunlin, gulls, cormorants).
